10 Things You Love About Weddings
1. The Bride’s dress – I mean it is all about the dress!
2. The Groom’s face when he catches a glimpse of her coming down the aisle.
3. The candles and flowers.
4. The wedding party’s clothes…I love to see what Brides choose for their party.
5. The reception.
6. The music.
7. Watching the first dance for the happy couple.
8. Wedding cake – it is always so yummy.
9. The rest of the food! Hey, I like to eat.
10. Watching the couple run through the rice or birdseed – knowing they are heading off to a wonderful life together.
This one was a lot of fun – Carole always has a cool topic…

10 Things You Do Every Day
1) Make my bed. I’m sure Killian could care less if the bed is made or not. But, I do. I deserve to have a nicely made bed to crawl into every night. If I liked to wash clothes and weren’t such an environmentalist – I’d have fresh linens every day just cause they feel and smell good.
2. I take my asthma and allergy medications – as well as my diabetic meds. To be honest, I have gotten much better about taking all my medications.
3. I play at least five games of WII bowling. It is my exercise! I really get into it too. There are a few of us who bowl every night – one of them is a little lady that is 89 and she can out bowl all of us!
4. I knit. Knitting is like breathing for me – if I am sitting my hands are full of yarn and needles.
5. Spend time with Killian. He really enjoys the time – we play, get treats, and in general have a nice day. We also like to take a nap together – but not every day.
6. Get outdoors. It doesn’t matter if the weather is rainy, cold or gorgeous – I need to be outside for a little while.
7. Cook and eat well. Getting better at cooking some cool meals.
8. Read – not a day goes by that I don’t read. I would not be able to sleep if I didn’t read. Books are such a huge part of my life.
9. Drink tea or hot chocolate – It is my way of stopping drinking sodas.
10. Connect on Facebook with family and friends.

Summer means the beach … and beach music.
Southern folk tend to like Carolina beach music – music you can Shag to…Then there is what I call California beach music…And, then there is Key West Beach Music. So here is what I like for beach music: (it’s a real mix!)

Ten Favorite Herbs
1. Basil – I love basil on mozzarella cheese and tomato salad!
2. Saffron – I think it’s an herb…I use it in my Puerto Rican and Cuban cooking.
3. Parsley – Buttered Parsley Potatoes! Yum!
4. Dill - I love dill and butter on my salmon.
5. Oregano – I cook the best potatoes – and it includes oregano, rosemary and parsley.
6. Lavender - Have you ever made Lavender cookies? Or put lavender in your ice tea?
7. Chives - On baked potatoes with sour cream! Yummy!!!
8. Thyme - I like the way it smells…
9. Sage – But only in small amounts and only in my dressing at Thanksgiving.
10. Tarragon – I love it in my chicken salad!

1) It’s Your Love - Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. It was my song with someone very special.
2) I Will Always Love You – Dolly Parton or Whitney Houston (Movie: The Bodyguard)
3) Picture - Kid Rock and Sheryl Crow. It’s a bit different - but, it’s a love song non the less.
4) Take My Breath Away - Berlin (Movie: Top Gun)
5) At Last – Etta James. It was cool to watch the President and Mrs. Obama dance to this…and it is a beautiful song.
6) Unchained Melody – The Righteous Brothers (Movie: Ghost)

10 Reasons To Be Glad It’s Spring
1) Daylight Savings Time - I love it! Just love it. It means that it doesn’t get dark so late – and I feel more alive.
2) My balcony can now be readied for me to sit and have a cup of tea or breakfast or just to sit and read out there.
3) I can open my windows! I love to sleep with my windows open.
4) Flowers – all these little flowers popping up!
5) Walking outside is nice – not too cold, not to hot – just right.
6) Fresh veggies – like asparagus – are starting to come into season (asparagus is my favorite!)
7) Don’t have to bundle up under a heavy coat…
8) Baby Sheep and baby goats – actually a lot of little baby animals are born in spring
9) Birds are appearing – singing in the trees – and Killian loves to look for them.
10) New Hampshire Sheep and Wool festival … that says Spring!

10 Favorite Kinds of Pie
Okay, I admit it – I don’t usually like pie. That’s not entirely true…I don’t like crust! But, I have to say since I moved to New England – I am beginning to eat more pie – mainly because the pies I eat or have eaten have been homemade – and homemade crust is really good.
1) Coconut Custard Pie
2) Egg Custard (or Custard) Pie.
3) Fresh Blueberry Pie
4) Pumpkin Pie
5) Strawberry-Rhubarb Pie
