10 Movies I Want to See Right Now
1. P. S. I Love You – I really like this movie…it was my introduction to Gerard Butler.
2. One Day – Jim Sturgess…that’s all I need to say.
3. The Hunger Games – read all three books in the series and I want to see what they did with the first book…I’m wondering if it can meet my expectations.
4. Twilight – I have to be the last person on earth who has not seen this movie or the others in the series.
5. One for the Money – I’ve read 7 of the Stephanie Plum series and I want to see what they did with the first book…I’m wondering if it can meet my expectations.
6. Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol – Okay, I’m a fan of the MI movies…what’s not to like.
7. Dolphin Tale – only cause I’m a sucker for animal stories.
8. Rise of the Planet of the Apes – why not?
9. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Parts 1 & 2 – Only cause everyone else has seen them and I haven’t.
10. Water For Elephants – because I liked the book…

The Book and dishcloth swap on Ravelry for January was such fun. My partner really pegged me by picking one of my favorite authors. I sort of think she was part mind reader as I had the book she sent me in my hand the day before and was debating whether or not to buy it.
Here is what she sent me:
Really looking forward to reading it…

And…here we go!
1. When I looked out the window this morning it didn’t look like we had any snow throughout the night – but, we did – 2 inches worth.

Once again my friend, Carol, came up with a great Ten On Tuesday topic…
10 Things To Do Inside When It’s Too Cold To Go Outside.
1. Knit – that’s the first thing that pops into my mind.
2. Cuddle up with a good book and a pretty quilt.
3. Clean out dresser drawers.
4. Bake – something chocolate works well.
5. Make some warm comforting soup…homemade preferred.
6. Have a movie day.
7. Take a nice warm bubble bath.
8. Quilt – see I’m a quilter too – so, I like to give my quilting some equal time.
9. Bake bread – it is always so good when it is fresh out of the oven with lots of butter.
10. Take a nap with the family pet.
A Quilting We Will Go…

in Quilting, Sew Down The Stash
Yesterday was a fun day – got to spend it working on some quilting projects…
First up:
My Cornish Quilters Charity block is the above star block. We made this one 12-1/2 inches instead of our normal size which is about 10-1/2 inches. I made two blocks and they will be going into a quilt for the mother of one of our members. She furnished the white and we each furnished some sort of blue fabric. They turned out really nice.
Second up:
From my Class The Craftsy Block of the Month with Amy Gibson
January – Block No. 1 - Asterisk Block
January – Block No. 2 – Wonky Pound Sign Block
Both of these blocks were a bit of a challenge for me…I am not used to just cutting fabric and adding fabric to it and then cutting again … but I love the way the blocks turned out.
This will be a scrappy quilt – but each of the fabrics I use will have some orange in them. The white fabric will be used throughout the quilt.

Did someone say SNOW?
Finally – we got some snow! It is very pretty!
Spent the day doing laundry – and in honor of the snow – I put brand new flannel sheets on my bed!
A-Z Book Challenge…

As most of you know I am a reader – a big reader. Every year I participate in the Ravelry Group – 52 books in 52 weeks.
Well, I’ve decided to add an A-Z Challenge in conjunction with that challenge…What that means is I will be reading a book that begins with each letter of the alphabet.
I’m taking the lazy way – and I’m listing the alphabet on this page – and filling in as I read a certain book – I am not going alphabetically – it will be most random…
