Now it can all be shown – my daughter has had her Christmas presents opened since Christmas day – so, I can share the items I knit for her…
The cowl was knit with one skein Lion Brand Yarn called Amazing in the colorway Strawberry Fields.
Scarf was knit with 3 skeins of Lion Brand Yarn called Amazing in the colorway Cobblestones.
The afghan was knit with two skeins each of Simply Soft in Chocolate, Pistachio, and Bone. I started by knitting an entire skein of each. Then I knit six inches of each color and finally three inches of each color. Think it turned out really pretty.

You need to know how much yarn to buy whenever you start a new knitting or crocheting project. You can figure out the yardage by using yarn calculations, whether you’re substituting one yarn for another in a pattern or whether you just have a general sense of what you’d like to knit.
