Here we go! I am very happy to be participating in the Quilting Gallery’s Blog Hop Party! Haven’t done this in a long, long time … and am looking forward to playing along.
My giveaway is:
A lovely handmade pillowcase. Yep. I made it myself. It has french seams and is sewn rather nicely – I think. Will fit a standard pillow.
So you have from now until December 17th to enter on this blog post only!
Leave a comment and if you want you can tell me what your favorite Christmas or Holiday song is. I’m trying to find some new ones to listen to.

This month there was a new class offered at my apartment complex. It is open to any resident that wishes to attend and it is free. The class is being presented by the University of New Hampshire Cooperative Extension.
“Eat Smart – Live Strong” is the class. It will teach us how to look at food differently…including learning how to cook for one or two.
The first week focused on how our plate should look – You can go to ChooseMyPlate and see how it should look. Plus if you put in some information – they can help you create some ideas.
We then talked about fruits and vegetables…and we got to sample some new ways to enjoy them:
Baby tomatoes: Sprinkle with garlic powder and basil
Cukecumber: Sprinkle with dill weed
Apples: Sprinkle with cinnamon or dip in peanut butter
We then tried four simple exercises –
And, ended the class by filling out a goal sheet as to how many cups of fruits and veggies we would eat each day and how much exercise we would do for a week.
I won a cutting board for being one of the first ten people to sign up!!!

Okay, I’m not big on decorating for the holidays…but, guess what???
This wreath is hanging on my door! I got it yesterday at one of the bazaars – they were marking them down cause the lady that made them didn’t want to take them home with her…I got it for $3.00…
And, I even addressed some Christmas cards today…

Today my neighbor and I went scouting out all the Christmas craft bazaars. We had a great time…Actually bought a few really cool handmade items for little gifts.
We entered all the raffles…and funny – we each won one. She won a Christmas puppy dog (not real) – and I won this:
A beautiful Christmas cake…The raffle ticket cost $1.00. And, I have to tell you this is the most awesome homemade cake (by a professional baker who makes wedding cakes) – moist and tasty. It has raspberry filling in middle – and the most wonderful tasting buttercream icing. Too good for words!!
And, since it is Marilyn’s (my friend – who was with me) birthday – guess what we all ate to celebrate…You got it!!!! And, there is still plenty left!

3. This is what I’m hoping for today/tonight: A positive and helpful visit with my doctor and a peaceful sleep with no back pain
5. Ooh, a beautiful tree is in the window of a house down the street. It is a silver tree with gorgeous turquoise lights.
6. Bells ringing!
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to celebrating a friend’s birthday with dinner out, tomorrow my plans include going to a few bazaars and a funeral, and Sunday, I want to finish addressing Christmas cards and writing out thank you notes.
