Sunday afternoon was wonderful and full of inspiration. Northern Lights Quilt Guild had there quilt show (and since it is only held every other year – you just have to go)!
There were a lot of beautiful quilts…it seemed like every time you turned a corner there was one that was more beautiful than the other.

These were some of the small landscape quilts…

This was called “GO FISH” – the turquoise fabric was beautiful! And, the fish – great! It just grabbed you when you turned the corner!

My friend, Colleen, entered this quilt. It is made with shirting as the backgrounds for the nine patches! Very simple and yet it was so elegant looking!

Batiks and Black!
You’ve heard me say I am cutting 2″ squares of florals – well, this is the quilt I want to make when I get 169 squares cut! It is applique…but, it is gorgeous in person!

More batiks … they were everywhere this year!

I have to say – I think this was my favorite quilt…not only is the quilting beautiful but each one of those leaves is pieced! It was just stunning!
Of course, this was another favorite – you know of my love for scrap quilts – and this one was beautiful!
I have to say there was not an ugly quilt in the show! And, did I come home inspired. Hope these quilts inspire you!
